Broadway Bulletin - Winter 2019
Our 2019 Winter newsletter is an exciting one for us because it contains a wonderful mix of reflection and optimism.
We’ve been reflecting on BFP being established for 25 years and what a fantastic journey it’s been since Simon Williamson started the company in 1994. But now, as we enter 2020, we are excited about what the next 25 years might bring. I am very proud to have finally completed the buyout of BFP from Simon, a project that we started ten years ago. So 2020 marks a new start for BFP, with Simon stepping down as non-exec Chairman, and Rebecca Ryan commencing her career as a Financial Planner.
This has allowed me the opportunity to plan and embrace the challenges that I see for the next ten years. Our main focus is to continue to serve our clients as we always have done; with care, enthusiasm, empathy and technical expertise. We are delighted to advise that Rebecca (Becky) Ryan has now passed the necessary qualifications permitting her to advise clients alongside Keri. This complements our service further and, importantly, provides longevity for the service we offer. Within our profession, we see a huge amount of acquisition of smaller firms like ours. Sadly, we also see that for those that have either run or worked with smaller, boutique firms, the new arrangement often doesn’t meet the needs of the clients. That’s why I remain passionate that we will continue to operate as an independent firm, delivering the bespoke service to clients who tell us that’s exactly what they want – the personal touch. With the addition of a second qualified Financial Planner and new offices to grow our business in, we are now looking forward to the future and the ways in which we can excel in the service we deliver to clients.
